Kobelco at ECOMONDO 2024
Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe is taking part for the first time at ECOMONDO, the international trade fair for recycling and environmental technologies (Hall C3, Stand 510). The Japanese tracked excavator specialist will be presenting innovative concepts for recycling applications and machine solutions for working in environmentally sensitive areas.
New ways in vehicle recycling
The Kobelco SK210D dismantling machine will be one of the focal points of the Kobelco presentation in Rimini. As an OEM solution, it has been specifically designed for efficient car recycling and the dismantling of larger structures in scrap yards. The precise shears and multi-functional floor clamp allow for fast and economical dismantling of end-of-life vehicles into unmixed recyclable fractions. The operator works safely and in all weathers in one-man operation without the need for any other auxiliary equipment, making the Kobelco dismantlers key machines, especially for smaller recycling companies.
The Kobelco SK210D is available in two versions – a standard version with an operating weight of 27 500 kg for car recycling and a “multi-dismantler” version (30 300 kg) with more powerful shears and wide-opening clamps for dismantling larger objects. Both versions are based on the proven earthmoving version of the Kobelco SK210, have a highly efficient 127 kW drive with working hydraulics that can be easily configured for all specific tasks, and have been specially equipped for recycling applications with a wide range of reinforcements and protective equipment (reinforced frame, boom, protective grille, air filter, etc.).
In addition to the SK210D with conventional uppercarriage, Kobelco also offers the SK140SRD short-radius dismantling machine (20 500 kg/78.5 kW) for working in confined areas.
Specialist in forestry
For the first time at ECOMONDO, Kobelco presents the new SK140SRL-7 with forestry package (17.5 – 17.95 t/86 kW). Specifically designed for logging and other applications on sensitive soils, it has a specially reinforced, longer undercarriage for up to 900 mm wide tracks that ensure low ground pressure (28 kPa). The high ground clearance (580 mm) and tight turning radii of the short-radius upper structure allow targeted work even in dense vegetation. The forestry version of the SK140SRL-7 also offers the high level of comfort and safety of Kobelco‘s Performance X cab concept. Drivers and technicians also benefit from the maintenance-optimised iNDr engine cooling system, with highly efficient filtration and quiet operation, which, like all other service points, is freely accessible from the ground.
