Magnificent
Dear readers,
I would say it was the best IFAT I have ever attended – IFAT 2024 in Munich at the end of April. And I‘m not so quick to use superlatives. It was clear to see that the global industry is facing major challenges. Climate crisis, lack of raw materials, different distribution of resources - industry, politics and science are equally responsible for a successful transformation of society. This was also evident in the atmosphere at this year‘s IFAT, with many new developments to bring us closer to the goal of a circular economy and to be able to fulfill the industry‘s declared voluntary commitments, many interesting and lively discussions and a clearly positive atmosphere of cooperation and open exchange at the trade fair itself.
With around 142 000 visitors from almost 170 countries, the trade fair reached the record level of 2018, according to IFAT itself. More than half of the approximately 3200 exhibitors came from abroad, and the internationality of the visitors was also higher than ever before. A good reason for the optimistic mood during the 5 days of the trade fair. In the following issues there will be reports on the innovations presented at IFAT, so stay tuned!
I hope you have an interesting time with this issue of recovery!
