New year, new challenges,
new solutions

Dear readers,

The first issue of recovery 2025 lies ahead of you. And the new year is still relatively new to us. This is always a good opportunity to look back on the past year and what lies ahead.

We received a lot of news, including a lot of good news. We would like to draw your attention to our “spotlight” section in the first part of the magazine from p. 4 onwards.

We have also included many technical solutions and new developments in this issue. “Preventing fires caused by LI batteries – KORN Recycling implements the AI system from WeSort.AI” (from p. 18). The system is designed to help detect lithium batteries at an early stage and prevent fires in order to protect employees and facilities.

The company Fornnax is presenting a new shredder (from p. 28). Each shaft is driven individually by a hydraulic motor. Fornnax has also developed the new machine for very specific areas of application: “The main areas of application for the SR-MAX2500 are large municipal waste recyclers, cement plants, waste incineration plants, mechanical-biological treatment plants, material recovery centers, construction and demolition recyclers, aluminum recyclers and other applications that require powerful machines and robust technology.”

And there are many more innovations in this issue – have a good time.
