The Survey, a key highlight of the Expo, signifies an ambitious effort to understand and address the most pressing environmental concerns at a national scale. The survey's findings will guide the conversation at RWM and the wider ESS Expo and help devise practical, effective solutions.
The Survey is open to all professionals whose work is directly involved in, or connected to, the environment. This could be people that work in the environmental services sector or people in other industries with a focus on sustainability or the environment.
All interested can take part in this national survey here.
The survey launch is accompanied by the rebranding and refocusing of the Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM), which is organised in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management. The newly transformed event will take centre stage at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on 13 to 14 September 2023, as part of the broader Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS) initiative.

RWM's refocus is set to address a broad range of environmental issues, including net-zero targets, resource management, and circular economy practices. A particular emphasis will be placed on the escalating global challenge of waste management, presenting practical, innovative solutions to this pressing issue.
The significance of RWM's refocusing is underscored by the UK Government’s commitment to achieving a net-zero carbon footprint by 2050. As the world gears up for COP28, RWM and the broader ESS Expo will catalyse discussions, inspire innovation, and serve as a vital forum for exchanging ideas and solutions.
In the words of the organiser, ROAR B2B's Managing Director, Rob Mowat: “RWM's rebranding and refocusing represent a pivotal moment in our commitment to the waste, recycling, resource and sustainability sectors. Paired with the insights from the National Environmental Services Survey, we believe RWM can drive significant change in waste management practices, playing a central role within the broader ESS initiative. We're excited about the opportunity for RWM to foster collaborations and engagement that will truly make a difference.”
