Plans

Dear Readers,

The first quarter of 2021 is now already over. RecyclingAKTIV is planned for September and we hope that we will be able to meet one or the other recovery reader there. At the moment, we are already practiced in no longer considering plans as set and reacting VERY flexibly to external circumstances. However, this is also a good time for new ideas and new developments. And many companies and research institutions also find the time to report on them –which makes us very happy! Among other things, this issue takes a close look at progress and innovations in plastics recycling.

The article „Recycling of polyethylene“ (p. 14) reports on a new project to expand production at the Indonesian Pan Era Group, which will then also allow upcycling of the recycled plastic waste.

Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH is providing two new LSP (liquid state polycondensation) systems for testing purposes in its PET pilot plant for recycling beverage bottles or tray containers, which are being produced in ever greater quantities. Customers can then carry out bottle-to-bottle trials there in advance and test the interaction of materials and equipment for other applications as well (p. 20).

Of course, recovery 02/2021 also deals with many other recycling materials. Zinc can be recycled many times in high quality and used again as a raw material. In order to be able to recycle effectively, plants are becoming increasingly robust, durable and energy-efficient. An example of this is presented in the article from REAZN Group starting on p. 54.

Many other exciting topics await you – I wish you an interesting time with our recovery!
