The HAMMEL shredders work “green”
Already since one-year HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH has been implementing the new emissions standard for several machine types for a year. Both the HAMMEL shredder of the VB 650 series with the CUMMINS B 6.7 engine and the “RED GIANT” with its 760 PS CAT C18 engine are already working „green“. The company‘s bestseller, the HAMMEL-shredder type VB 750 is currently being converted to Stage 5.
What does it mean? The new EU stage 5 emissions standard is meanly responsible to limit the value of the particle concentration, to reach this the machines requires diesel particle filters (DPF).
What changes the customers will recognize?
the machines are equipped with the latest motor technology
increased injection pressure for highly efficient combustion of the fuel
cooled exhaust gas recirculation to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions
diesel particle filter (DPF) to reduce the particle content
the filter burns free itself and rarely needs to be regenerated
At the end of the year, all other models will also be converted to stage 5 and will complete the green range. In addition to the environmentally friendly and energy-saving aspect, the HAMMEL shredders offer high flexibility, user-friendliness and multifunctionality. The shredders work with multifunctional tool shafts and enable the shredding of a wide variety of materials such as waste wood, fresh wood, railway sleepers, household waste, industrial waste, bulky waste, and light mixed scrap.
