The next generation of trommel screening machines from Doppstadt

With the SM 620.3, Doppstadt presents the latest generation of its proven trommel screening machines. Developed in response to customer feedback and requirements, the SM 620.3 combines the proven performance of previous models with innovative features such as the DualPower drive, which makes operation even more flexible and convenient.

After Doppstadt presented the prototype at IFAT 2024, many screening machines are already successfully in use today. With the SM 620.3, Doppstadt is focusing on flexibility and user-friendliness. “With the latest generation of our trommel screening machine, users no longer have to choose between a diesel or electric drive,” explains Moritz Müller, Product Manager at Doppstadt. This is because the DualPower drive combines both – depending on the application, an uncomplicated change is possible. For example, if there is no power connection available, diesel operation is an option. In this case, the addition of AdBlue is no longer necessary. This saves costs and makes refueling particularly easy. In residential areas, the e-drive scores with its low noise level, and in halls with reduced emissions.

Galvanized discharge belts for more robustness

The SM 620.3 also sets new standards in the area of material processing. The galvanized discharge belts offer particularly high resistance and good protection against corrosion. This is particularly useful in demanding applications such as the processing of mineral materials.

The new trommel screening machine is the result of intensive communication with users. Doppstadt has optimized the machine to meet their requirements: “Whether it‘s about efficiency, cost-effectiveness or flexibility in use – the SM 620.3 delivers well thought-out solutions that make everyday work noticeably easier,” says Müller. Other innovations include the re-design of the machine frame and the new arrangement of the motor and hopper. Both aspects significantly improve ease of maintenance – thanks to large hinged doors and practical cleaning openings. Wear protection solutions made of heavy rubber also ensure increased safety and durability. Flexibility and a wide range of equipment optimally equip the machine for the application and offer the best price-performance ratio.

Proven technology, increased efficiency

The new stone grid, which opens through 90°, quickly removes sticky material and allows convenient loading. Like its predecessor models, the latest trommel screen is also equipped with a modern load-sensing hydraulic control system that optimizes energy consumption and reduces operating costs.

“The new model offers the same performance with even greater efficiency,” says Müller, summarizing the benefits for users. With the SM 620.3, Doppstadt is presenting a trommel screening machine that combines proven technology with innovative product features.
